Lessons and activities will be held at the Allied Gardens School of Martial Arts new facility in Allied Gardens. (For map and directions to our facility, please click on our map page.) Our school environment is a fun yet disciplined setting, in which kids are expected to listen and follow instructions.

Each day your child will have a fun filled and enriching experience where they will practice movements to improve balance, strength, endurance, speed, agility and flexibility as well as learn many concepts to help them solve conflicts, build character, develop communication skills, and learn about proper nutrition.

Students will learn based on their experience level from Northern Shaolin Kung Fu Forms (stances, blocks, punches, and kicks), padded long staff weapon form, rolls/ body control moves, and safe self defense techniques. Participants will improve their overall fitness with stretches and active aerobic and strengthening exercises. Please see our detailed Itinerary Page for more information.

This class will be perfect for beginners AND intermediate level students (white belts to 4th sections). Students that have taken martial arts or have been in our classes in the after school program will have the opportunity to learn advanced weapons and forms we can not teach at the elementary schools! For all levels we will focus our classes primarily on movements and forms that we can not do in the after school program (like weapons movements/forms, rolling/tumbling, self defense movements, etc).

Students will also have the opportunity to construct their own padded chong bong (long staff) that they can take home with them (parents permission needed) (no extra cost).

Students will also spend time learning from our Code of Ethics about such moral values as: Honesty, Politeness, Honor, and Sincerity. We will talk about these values as they relate in their daily lives without getting into any eastern philosophy or mysticism. In addition children will also learn strategies in dealing with conflict resolution.

Martial Arts After School Summer Camp provides a safe, positive, and comforting environment. Our Instructors and Assistant Instructors have between 2 to 15 years experience teaching children’s programs in a martial arts school in addition to teaching the after school program at over 25 local elementary schools. The instructors teaching the summer camp will be the same instructors that have taught in your child's elementary school.
