New
movements are taught each session. There will be some review of old forms and
movements at various sessions throughout the year. Students are taught
each 6 week session a number of forms and movements. At the end of each session
white belt students (brand new students who have never taken a class with Martial
Arts After School before) are tested for their first belt level (First Section).
Therefore, students are expected to practice, memorize, and execute these movements
to prepare for their test. To help students with this, Instructors provide a curriculum.

Returning Students are "evaluated" at the end of
each six week session to determine if they can execute the
movements they learned from their current session in addition
to movements they had learned from previous six week sessions.
If they have the movements memorized and can perform them
at the appropriate skill level, they are given an opportunity
to then test.
