The
after school program is designed as a "part time" type of work. It is
excellent for individuals who are first interested in teaching and the martial
arts, and have a time schedule that is flexible in the late mornings to the afternoon
(Lessons start at schools between (11:00 to 4:30). Our program runs throughout
the traditional school year (i.e. when elementary schools are in session), and
in some cases through the summer. You are being subcontracted to instruct
martial arts at various elementary school locations throughout San Diego and San
Diego County. As a result, Martial Arts After School is not hiring you as an employee.
Therefore, monetary compensation for your services as an Instructor will be issued
to you based on the number of students enrolled in your classes. See the scale
listed below: $10 per student $11 per student (Presentation
done by instructor at same location instruction given) Pay Scale Increases
with more teaching experience/ number of sessions you have instructed.
Additional
monetary compensation and incentive scale: $1 per student enrolled
if Presentation done by you at a school in which you do not instruct. (Not
given if done at your own school location… see above) $5 per uniform sold
$2 per shirt sold
Per student earnings are based on an average class
size divided by hours of instruction. Income potential and size of the class is
left open to the individual instructors. If you desire more income, then the flexibility
is provided solely to you to motivate and seek ways to increase the size of your
class… i.e. better presentations, call old students, run a better class, inspire
kids to promote your class to their friends, etc.…. Also increasing uniform and
shirt sales can increase your income.
